Deed. Fowler to Wells
This Indenture made this fourteenth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten between Joseph Fowler and Betsey his wife of the county of Estill and state of Kentucky of the one part and Robert Wells of the county & state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Joseph Fowler and Betsey his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & two dollars curant money of Kentucky to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge hath granted Bargained and Sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell Alien & _____ unto the sd Robert Wells a certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid on the south fork of station camp creek being part of a large tract belonging to sd Fowler and is bounded as follows |to wit| Beginning at a sugar tree and two horn beams thence N __˚ W 23 poles to 2 Buckeys on the bank of the creek thence up aid creek as it meanders S36˚ N 30 po S53˚ W 10 po to stake thence S 79˚ W 74 po crossing the creek to 2 whiteoaks thence S 16˚ W ___ pol to 2 whiteoaks thence S 40_˚ 15 po to a sugar tree elm beach & big rock at the lower end of the deep hole on sd creek thence the same with its Meanders S 30˚ E 56 po crossing the creeks to a bunch of white walnut sprouts then N 67˚ E 138 po to a beach corner to the btd survey and thence with the same north 90 po to the beginning containing one hundred and two acres (more or less) Together with its singular benefits herediteditament and appertainences to the sd Robt Wells his heirs exer admrs and assigns from all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claims. In witness whereof the sd Joseph Fowler and Betsey his wife hath hereunto set their hands and seals this day and year above written.

I Robert P Clark clerk of the court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that this Indenture of bargain and sale from Joseph Fowler to Robert Wells was acknowledged before me by the said Fowler to be his act and deed on the 10th day of August 1810 whereupon the same was duly recorded in my office
